How to store empty text fields in the template so that you can fill them out later

(Form Pilot Pro / Form Pilot Office only)
 

Let's say you need to fill out employees application forms:

 

1. Fill out the fields of the document:

 

2. Save the document as a template

Choose File | Save As Template with Fields...:

The following dialog will appear:

In this particular case, choose The whole document to save your template together with the form image. If you saved the template in the Templates folder (within the program folder), it will appear in the templates bar:

 

3. Click the template label. Choose Create a new document in the opened dialog box:

A new document with empty text fields* will appear:

Now you can fill out this document with new data:

 

* If you want to retain text in some fields, you need to mark those fields using the Select tool prior to saving. In that case the fields will be saved with your text. For example, to retain some fields in the following document:

Choose the Select tool on the Alignment Tools toolbar:

Mark the appropriate fields (to mark more than one field, keep the Ctrl button pressed while clicking):

And save the document as a template with fields. The template will look like this:
