I am trying to create a PDF by using PDF Creator Pilot so that the PDF file has the initial page layout setting of "Two-Up (Cover Page)", but can only seem to figure out how to set it to "Two-Up Continuous (Cover Page)".

You can see the full set of PDF Page Layout settings from the document properties in the Adobe PDF Viewer. There isn't a directly matching setting in PDF Creator Pilot for these.

What settings are used to achieve "Two-Up (Cover Page)" for the initial view?

Dear Joebwan,

Please specify what the property do you mean? Do you mean LayoutType property:
http://www.colorpilot.com/pdfcreatorpilotmanual/IP DFDocument4/LayoutType.html ?

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Yes, the LayoutType is the field that seems to have the most affect toward what I am trying to achieve, but doesn't quite get there. I'm using ltTwoColumnRight. This puts "odd numberd pages to the right" which has the side effect of making the first page (which is odd by definition) stand alone (just like a "cover page") and the subsequent pages are side by side just as in a book or magazine spread. Unfortunately, a PDF created with this property set will be set as "Two-Up Continuous (Cover Page)" in the Adobe Reader properties dialog rather than the "Two-Up (Cover Page)" which is what I would prefer.

Hello Joebwan,

We understand your question. But we can't find such property in PDF specification. Sorry for the inconvience.

Doing some research, it seems there are more settings for page layout than PDF Creator Pilot lists. The two additional settings for Page Layout are "TwoPageLeft" and "TwoPageRight". The "TwoPageRight" is the value i'm looking for PDF Creator Pilot to allow me to set.

Check out the latest PDF reference manual "PDF32000_2008.PDF" that you can download from the Adobe web site. Page 73. Thes setting also appears to be part of the Adobe PDF 1.6 specification released in Nov 2004. The 1.6 specification document ("PDF Reference, version 1.6" can also be downloaded from the adobe site.
