I'm currently evaluating PDF Creator Pilot with HTML2PDF. I require a single-sheet pdf to be created from a single web page. The syntax I am using (in VB6) to try and achieve this is as follows:

Set pdf = CreateObject("PDFCreatorPilot2.piPDFDocument")
pdf.StartEngine "demo@demo", "demo"
pdf.AutoLaunch = False
pdf.FileName = "test.pdf"
pdf.BeginDoc
pdf.PDFPAGE_Size = psA4
pdf.PDFPAGE_Orientation = poLandscape
a = pdf.PDFPAGE_Scale(0.6, 0.6)
Set html = CreateObject("HTML2PDFAddon.HTML2PDF")
html.StartHTMLEngine "", ""
html.MarginLeft = 72
html.MarginTop = 72
html.MarginRight = 72
html.MarginBottom = 72
html.ConnectToPDFLibrary pdf
html.LoadFromFile "test.html"
html.ConvertAll
html.DisconnectFromPDFLibrary
Set html = Nothing
pdf.EndDoc
Set pdf = Nothing

This - I believe - should have the effect of setting up the page as A4 landscape with a one inch margin all the way round and a reduction in size of 60% to allow the pdf to fit on the single page. It does however leave about a 4 inch top margin on the page, forcing the rest of the document on to two (portrait orientation) pages.

Any ideas as to how I achieve the single page (with margins and A4 landscape) would be gratefully received (and probably result in the choice of this software to fulfil our requirements)

Thanks

Richard

Hello Richard!

HTML2PDF Add-on supports vertical auto-resizing currently but does not support horizontal auto-resizing and page can be clipped and clipped area will be drawn on the next page.

We will implement scaling in next versions of HTML2PDF Add-on.

Dear Kai,

I can't tell you exactly when new version will be released, but developers work now to add all requested features.

Thank you very much !

Best regards,
Stanislav
