Hi,

I create my pdf documents with simply rendering EMF Data on the page. Now I have two big problems.

1. The PDF does not open in Acrobat 6. It says that the PDF uses a newer format than supported. I guess the reason is that the PDFs (which I create with play metafile) contain all text in unicode/UTF object.

2. I have seen in the metadata that unicode is used. For example:
/Subject <FEFF004D006900630072006F0073006F00660074002000570 06F007200640020002D00200044006F00630075006D0065006 E00740035>

Since out document management does not support those type of encoding I need a way to "tell" your library not to use unicode/UTF or I have to make a feature request to our document management producer - which will take to much time.

Thank you very much in advance
Frank

Dear Frank,

Please download and install latest version of the library. If this won't solve the issue, please send us your EMF and PDF in a zip archive using our support form:

Hi,

Hi got you email and will post it here in case other people have similar problems. I will now contact our content managment provider to check if he can support unicode.

Thanks again for all your quick help!

Frank

When you convert EMF file to PDF, all text data passed in Unicode format, that's because you see Unicode in the file. This cannot be turned off because text in EMF is in Unicode. However you can create ANSI PDF if you'll use PDF API and put text using non-Unicode functions, such as PDFPAGE_TextOut.
