We are using PDFCreatorPilot Version 2.70. My machine is now running with Windows Vista 64bit. When I try to regsvr32 the dll, Microsoft Registerserver crashes. Installshield can manage the entries into the registry, but when I try to "CreateObject(PDFCreatorPilot2.piPDFDocument)" (using VB6), the application crashes. VB errorhandling gets no chance because CreateObject doesn't return!

On machines with any 32bit system there is no problem.

Please help

Additional information:

When running IDE of VB6 on Vista64 CreateObject works fine!

Hi,

Here is the related (I think) topic on MSDN forum:

Sorry, but the 32bit version of regsvr32 crashes the same was as the 64bit version.
Again: On Vista64 the following code (VB6) works fine in the IDE, but crashes when run as compiled EXE.

Public canPDF As Boolean

Private Sub Form_Load()

Dim Test As Object

On Error Resume Next
Set Test = CreateObject("")
canPDF = Not Test Is Nothing
End Sub

Correction:
Set Test = CreateObject("PDFCreatorPilot2.piPDFDocument")

Hi,

The trouble just is that PDF Creator Pilot 2 is not support Windows Vista.
I recommend you upgrade your license (30% of initial purchase) and use our last product - PDF Creator Pilot 4 (or PDF Creator Pilot 3 which has same interface with the second version). We guarantee that they work correctly on Windows Vista.

Vista itself is not the problem. Vista 64bit doesn't work.

We will do an upgrade :-)
