Two Pilots forum / For software developers / side-by-side config error in Vista

I get the following error when trying to run Configuration.exe for the Virtual Printer for EMF on a Vista computer:

"The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect."

It does not give this error on an XP machine. The event log on the Vista computer says the following:

Activation context generation failed for "C:Program FilesBexar Image PrinterConfiguration.exe".Error in manifest or policy file "C:Program FilesBexar Image PrinterConfiguration.exe" on line 12. The value "asAdministrator" of attribute "level" in element "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v1^requestedPrivile ges" is invalid.

I get the same error whether I'm logged in as administrator or a regular user.
Any idea what's causing this?

Thanks.
Kerrith

I installed the recommended "Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package", but it made no difference. Now I'm installing SP1 for Vista. I'll post the results.
