I've got a Vista-based machine, core duo, 160 GB HD, 1 MB ram, ATI video card, and just installed Sound Pilot. It makes sounds, but they lag way behind the press of a key. In other words, the sounds can't keep up with typing and will dissappear all together as I type faster. On my old XP machine, Sound Pilot worked great no mater what speed I typed. Any suggestions on how to make Sound Pilot work with Vista? So far, they do not get along with each other.

Try this Lambert John:

Start->Control Panel->Sound->Playback [tab]->Speaker/Headphones->Properties [button]->Enhancements [tab]->[x] "Disable all enhancements".
