Hi all,

I would like to convert PDFs to TIFF (the first page only) using IIS6 and ASP. When I run the example code, I get the 'done' but there is no TIFF-file. When I run the code in a dosbox all is fine. Can I create TIFFs using ASP?

Thanks

Rheingold

Dear Rheingold,

Yes, you can convert - here is an example
http://www.colorpilot.com/pdf2tiff_asp.html

If you use this example, please check commandline and script permissions. Also please check your IIS logs for errors.

Thank you very much !

Best regards,

Dear Stanislav,

thanks for your really quick supply.
Unfortunately, my problems still exists. Here is my workaround: Windows Server 2003, I installed PDF2TIFF and gave permissions for read and right and execute to the directory where the asp-file is located. This is also the directory where the TIFFs should be created. Have I done something wrong or forgot something?

Best regards

Dear Rheingold,

Here is VBScript ASP version - it works, please check it.
Directory c:\output should be created before script testing.

<%
Set WshShell = Server.CreateObject("WScript.Shell")

commandLine = """c:\program files\PDF2TIFF Pilot\PDF2TIFF.exe"" s=c:\test.pdf d=c:\output -nodlg"
WshShell.Run commandLine, 8, true

Set WshShell = Nothing
%>

Thank you very much !

Best regards,
