You can create a command file RunCmd.txt to change multiple tags of Exif information.
The configuration file must be located in the folder where Exif Pilot is installed.
In the Exif Pilot program, you can select a photo and apply the commands specified in the RunCmd.txt file to it by clicking on button:
Please note: If the configuration file RunCmd.txt missing, the button is not displayed.
The following explains what groups of commands there are.
1. The command to assign a value to the tag.
The format of the tag assignment command looks like this:
“Full name of the tag”, “Value”
The list of tags and their values, which you can edit, is found in the Metadata.txt file or here.
You may write several commands to one file RunCmd.txt. Each command must start with a new line, for example:
“/Iptc/Application/Keywords”,”Test”
“/Exif/Image/Orientation”,”3″
In addition, the command can assign the value of one tag to another tag. To do this, the = symbol is used before the name of the copied tag. For example:
“/Exif/Photo/DateTimeOriginal”,=/Exif/Image/DateTime
The + symbol can be used to combine string tag values. For example:
“/Xmp/DublinCore/Subject”,=/Xmp/DublinCore/Subject+” Test”
2. Commands for deleting tag sections.
The ClearExif, ClearXMP and ClearIPTC commands are used to delete sections of the Exif, XMP and IPTC tags, respectively.
These commands should be written one at a time per line, for example:
ClearExif
ClearXMP
ClearIPTC
3. The command to delete the tag.
The format of the tag removal command is as follows:
DeleteTag “Full name of the tag”
For example:
DeleteTag “/Exif/Image/BitsPerSample”
DeleteTag “/Exif/Image/XResolution”
DeleteTag “/Exif/Image/YResolution”
