I have a bug with 2003 Server :

The .vbs code is :

Set PDF = CreateObject("PDFCreatorPilot3.PDFDocument3")
Set HTML = CreateObject("HTML2PDFAddon.HTML2PDF2")

HTML.SetLogFile "pdf.log"

PDF.StartEngine "mail...", "code""
PDF.fileName = "result.pdf"

PDF.BeginDoc

html.StartHTMLEngine "Name", "Code"

HTML.AutoAdjustContentWidth = True
HTML.PreserveLinks = False

HTML.ConnectToPDFLibrary PDF

HTML.LoadHTMLString "<HTML><BODY>Hello,PDF2HTML! </BODY></HTML>", ""

HTML.ConvertAll
HTML.DisconnectFromPDFLibrary

PDF.EndDoc

set PDF = nothing
set HTML = nothing

The log is :

01/15/07 13:19:37 HTML2PDFImpl - Provided regname .......
01/15/07 13:19:37 HTML2PDFImpl - Provided registration data is valid.

Dear Thomas,

Do you set target to file or to binary image ?

Best regards,
Stanislav

My target is a file, "result.pdf"

I just find out that your DLL was "blocked" by the DEP (Data Execution Prevention) of Win 2003.

I don't want to disable the DEP, and don't understand why your program has to execute data.

If you have any idea...

Dear Thomas,

Unfortunately, the only way is to disable DEP for HTML2PDF Add-On.

Best regards,
Stanislav

And how can I do that, when DEP exceptions only can be performed on executable files ?

Dear Jakob,

You can disable DEP for application which uses HTML2PDF Add-On or for the system where HTML2PDF Add-On is installed.

But what if it is not HTML2PDF but PDF Creator Pilot, that does not have any executable ?

Dear Jakob,

PDF Creator Pilot does not require any DEP changes.

Dear Stanislav,

we do not have the option to disable DEP for the application using HTML2PDF. Do you plan to fix the DEP issue in a future release?

Kind Regards
Bo
